Shift Sustainability Partners with Klimate

Shift Sustainability Consulting is proud to share that it is now an official calculation partner of Klimate, a carbon removal firm based in Denmark. 

According to the Oxford Offsetting Principles, it is necessary to a) move from offsets that only avoid future emissions toward actions that actually remove carbon from the atmosphere, and b) to move from short term to long term storage. Klimate focuses exclusively on carbon removal, which allows companies to actively take CO2 out of the atmosphere as they work to achieve their net zero goals. 

Klimate works with 8 different types of carbon removal projects:

Klimate's platform allows clients to create blended portfolios of carbon removal assets. To allow Klimate to focus solely on supplying verified high-quality carbon removal credits, they partner with other firms to calculate client emissions. That’s where Shift Sustainability comes in! Shift Sustainability performs analysis to calculate a company’s greenhouse gas emissions, and those calculations can then inform a carbon removal strategy on the Klimate platform.
